The success of the race has attracted new sponsorship from Ansons Solicitors and Cllr Tony Wilkins and Cllr Terry Finn have each contributed £500 from their Local Members Initiative Scheme (LMIS) grant. This is in addition to the generous support we receive from Waitrose Lichfield.

The event is open to all runners aged fifteen and over on race day. It is regrettably not suitable for wheelchairs and no dogs or cyclists are allowed in the event. The race is organised by runners for runners of all abilities from complete beginners to Olympic athletes.
Every finisher in the 10k race will receive a commemorative tee shirt. The tee shirt will have a list of all the runners entered before 31st August. So get your entry in early.
The 10k course is gently undulating with some hills between 4 and 7 Km. It is run mainly on quiet country lanes. Drinks will be provided at half way and at the finish.

For club members, we participate in races organised by other clubs during the year. We believe that we have a responsibility to reciprocate by arranging a race of our own for the benefit of other clubs and local runners and joggers.
Organising this event to the standard we would expect requires a great deal of hard work from the committee, other club runners and their families and many other sources of support.
We appreciate any help that you can give. We especially need everybody in the club to rally round on the day to provide support for timing, memento giving and particularly marshalling.
We would prefer that no club member enters the race. If however you really do wish to enter, then we would expect you to provide at least one substitute marshal. It is not felt that this is an unreasonable request so we thank you in anticipation for your cooperation and support.
