The club would like members’ feedback on the weekend training sessions.Bob says:
Turn out at the Sunday morning training sessions are very disappointing. We had three runners one Sunday and rarely get many more. Please let me know by clicking here if you would want to come along and if so what about the timing. Should we start the at 8.00, 10.30 or leave them at 9.00.
In the past we used to run through Hopwas woods on a Saturday morning. It is one of the best routes in the area through some of the finest broad leaf woodlands as well as many bridle paths, the poppies are especiaal good at the moment.
As you would expect from that course there are some really testing hills. There is a choice of two routes 7 or 9 miles. I have already started running them.
Are you interested in running these routes and again introducing them as part of the regular training schedule. Both these two runs are ideal training for anyone wishing to step up their mileage for a half or full marathon.
